Why You’re Not Married Yet: Three-time divorcée helps desperate women find Mr. Right
Most women who seek advice on men and marriage look to their friends who are already happily married.
Tracy McMillan is a three-time divorcée and daughter of a former prostitute. She doesn’t fit the typical image of a relationship guru who is in high demand on the television talk show circuit.
But her divorce status didn’t matter to readers of the Huffington Post, where her blog titled Why You’re Not Married Yet was the most read post ever.
McMillan told MSNBC‘s Kathie Lee and Hoda: “I’m just your best friend who’s been through all kinds of stuff in relationships and I’m here to kind of tell you the real truth.”
And the truth, according to McMillan, is that women lie to themselves rather than face cold hard facts.
She explained: ‘A lot of times, it’s because there’s a guy, he’s cute, you like him but he says, “you know what I’m really not ready to be in a relationship”. And you say to yourself, “well I’ll treat this like a temp job so if I really wow on the job maybe he’ll hire me full time.”‘
McMillian believes that when a man wants to get married he will know. There’s not much that women can do to make a man settle down when he’s not ready.
Most women force a man to get down on one knee — and most men oblige, even though they are not interested in a wedding. Which is what happened with Ms. McMillan — three times.
McMillan suggests that women ask themselves, do I come across as a bitch? Am I being superficial? — And if the answer is yes, McMillan urges women to change who they really are if they want a ring on their finger.
“You really have to be soft and vulnerable to form a relationship,” not bitter and defensive — she explained.
In her book, McMillan urges her readers to treat love as a “spiritual assignment” not as a list of physical requirements.
“If you’re not married and you want to be, you need to express more love. Not get more love,” she writes. “Express it. Feel it. Be it. See it everywhere.”
And I might add, while you’re expressing and being love, continue to express love long after you’re married.
A lot of women think it’s the man’s job to express love and treat them like queens, when in reality, men wanted to be treated special, too. If you forget that a man wants to be treated like a man — he will go out and find a woman who will.
Beyonce allegedly ‘furious’ at Kim Kardashian for crashing her Revel show
According to Gawker.com, Kim Kardashian allegedly invited herself backstage at Beyonce’s Revel concerts in Atlantic City last weekend.
Kim, who is reportedly banned from Beyonce’s inner circle, strolled backstage with her friend, socialite Brittany Gastineau, who started taking random pics as if to prove they were indeed backstage.
But Gawker is adamant that Beyonce did not invite Kim backstage — as evidenced by the lack of pics with Beyonce in them.
Gawker quotes CelebDirtyLaundry who alleges that, not only are Beyoncé and Kim Kardashian not friends, Kim Kardashian was not even invited backstage but, rather, “crashed” it, and now “Beyoncé and her people are furious at Kim for doing such a thing.”
In desperation, Kim tweeted a pic of her and Brittany sitting in the audience at Bey’s show at the Revel Resort and Casino.
And after the show, Brittany posted a pic of Kim posing with one of Bey’s background dancers.
She tweeted: “Just walked backstage through Beyonces dressing room…no big deal….haha..surreal moment.” But Brittany doesn’t actually mention seeing Beyonce backstage.
How desperate is Kim? First, she pulls off a fake relationship with Beyonce and Jay Z’s pal Kanye West — and then she pretends to be one of Beyonce’s besties when the fact is Beyonce can’t stand her.

Hata hivyo, Jumanne iliyopita, Wastara alizungumza tena na mwandishi wetu ambapo alisema Mungu ni mkubwa, hali ya mumewe anatengemaa na ameanza kunyanyuka baada ya upasuaji huo.
“Hali imekuwa nzuri, sasa ananyanyuka si kama alivyotoka kwenye chumba cha upasuaji, lakini Watanzania wazidi kumwombea,” alisema mwanadada huyo.
Katika hali nyingine isiyokuwa ya kawaida, Wastara alisema akiwa hospitalini hapo, madaktari wameidaka kamera yake na kuiweka mapokezi wakimtuhumu kuitumia vibaya.
Walimwambia kuwa ni kosa kwa mtu kutumia kamera yake kupiga picha bila ridhaa ya utawala. Hata hivyo, msanii huyo alisema atarudishiwa kifaa chake hicho cha kuchukulia picha kwani alitoa barua kutoka Shirikisho la Filamu Tanzania‘TAFF’ inayoonesha yeye ni msanii wa muvi nchini

Judges at an international war crimes court have sentenced former Liberian President Charles Taylor to 50 years in prison following his landmark conviction for supporting rebels in Sierra Leone who murdered and mutilated thousands during their country's brutal civil war in return for blood diamonds.
The Special Court for Sierra Leone found Taylor guilty last month on 11 charges of aiding and abetting the rebels who went on a bloody rampage during the decade-long war that ended in 2002 with more than 50,000 dead.
Presiding Judge Richard Lussick says the crimes Taylor was convicted of were of the "utmost gravity in terms of scale and brutality."
The 64-year-old warlord-turned-president is the first former head of state convicted by an international war crimes court since the Second World War.
Taylor will serve his sentence in a British jail. His lawyers, however, are expected to appeal his convictions and that will likely keep him in a jail in The Hague, Netherlands, for months.
Prosecutors say he funnelled arms, ammunition and other supplies in return for "blood diamonds" mined using slave labour.
Presiding Judge Richard Lussick said: "The lives of many more innocent civilians in Sierra Leone were lost or destroyed as a direct result of his actions."
Taylor showed no emotion as the judge handed down what will effectively be a life sentence. Prosecutors had asked judges at the Special Court for Sierra Leone to impose an 80-year sentence; Taylor's lawyers urged judges to hand down a sentence that offered him some hope of release before he dies.Mr Lussick said an 80-year sentence would have been excessive as Taylor was convicted of aiding and abetting crimes and not direct involvement.
But the judge added that Taylor was "in a class of his own" compared to others convicted by the United Nations-backed court. "The special status of Mr. Taylor as a head of state puts him in a different category of offenders for the purpose of sentencing," Mr Lussick said.
